Made to be experienced digitally by children and families all over the world, Forest Fables will ignite your imagination.

Forest Fables is a magical filmed adaptation of a sell-out show performed on the Isle of Wight in December 2020 by Greengage Ventures and Naiads Foundry in partnership with the National Trust.

Embark on a journey of discovery through the enchanted rooms and corridors of the National Trust’s Mottistone Manor to uncover hidden stories found within nature. Chance upon captivating, clever and curious creatures ready to impart their tales in this fun and fabulous promenade performance. You will hear stories of majestic forests, ancient landscapes and the little creatures who serve them, inspiring each child to become a custodian of this precious land.

The original script, score and design draw on the beauty of the Manor under the watchful eye of the Neolithic Longstone and the sublime landscape that surrounds it.

Harking from across the creative and theatre sectors (Olivier, Golden Globe and Emmy nominations among them), the team includes:

Naiads Foundry is a company of makers, creators and doers harking from across the creative and theatre sectors who want to demonstrate that family theatre can still be crafted safely and beautifully in unconventional and thrilling ways. Their goal? To create a performance to help families dwell in play and imagination even when the world outside feels scary.

Shaka Kalokoh

Pronouns: He/Him. Shaka is an actor and recent graduate from Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Shaka was cast to appear in several exciting projects this year which were unfortunately cancelled due to COVID-19. ​ ​ Theatre includes: Echion/Chorus in Antigone (dir. Orla O'Loughlin); Jay in The Royale (dir. Ameera Conrad); Chibuzor in Provok’d – A Restoration (dir. Jamie Bradley); The Boy in The Wheel (dir. Caroline Byrne); Menelaus in The Trojan Women (dir. Patsy Rodenburg); Eddie Souther in Sister Act: The Musical (dir. Brodie Ross)/ Other: Tiny the Wonder in Beasts of London (Voiceover), Museum of London.
Emer Dineen

Emer Dineen

Pronouns: She/Her. Emer is an actor, musician and recording artist who’s diverse career has found her performing with the RSC and singing to the masses at Glastonbury Festival. Emer graduated from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in 2017, That same year, she secured a publishing deal with Hospital Records and has various musical releases to her credit. Her recent run of comedy musical Insane Animals with cabaret legends Bourgeois Maurice finished days before the first lockdown began. ​ Theatre includes: Shamhat in Insane Animals (HOME Theatre, dir. Philly MacMahon); Gretel in Red Palace (The Vaults, dir. Celine Lowenthal); Helena in Mid Summer Nights Dream (dir. Claire Dunlop); The Grim (Collab Theatre, dir. Liam Fleming); Turfed (Hackney Downs Studios LIFT, dir. Renato Rocha); The Dark Side of Love (Camden Roundhouse, RSC, dir. Renato Rocha Keziah Serreu).
Jack Stigner

Jack Stigner

Pronouns: He/Him. Jack Stigner is an established theatre practitioner, actor and Artistic Director of the award-winning theatre company FoulPlay Productions. He currently delivers one-man family performances of the comedies A Midsummer Night's Dream and As You Like It that he was commissioned to write For Shakespeare's Globe as Globe Storyteller. ​ Theatre includes: Hamlet (Edinburgh 2018) as King Claudius/Laertes and Macbeth (Edinburgh 2019) as Malcolm/Macduff, and this summer was scheduled to play Don Jon/Benedick in a production of Much Ado About Nothing that was sadly cancelled due to Covid-19. Jack is also a regular performer and collaborator with the immersive, puppet and comedy companies: Shotgun Carousel; Colossal Crumbs and Magnificent Bastard.
Livi Prendergast

Livi Prendergast

Pronouns: She/Her. Livi is a performer, creative, and illustrator. As well as shaping all things creative for Forest Fables at Mottistone Manor, Livi will also be appearing as part of our cast. With one foot behind the scenes and the other on stage, Livi’s passion for enchanting audiences thrums through her veins. ​ ​ Credits include: Circus of Oz (Dir. Jessica Hall); The Wonderwoods (Dir. Jessica Hall); Secret Cinema presents Bladerunner: The Final Cut; Secret Cinema presents Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet; Secret Cinema presents Baz Luhrmann's Moulin Rouge.
Ella Prendergast

Ella Prendergast

Pronouns: She/Her. Ella is an actor, writer, and standup comedian. As well as scriptwriting Forest Fables at Mottistone Manor, Ella will also be appearing as one of our ensemble. Her one-woman play, Recovery Town, was set to debut at Vault Festival 2020 but was unfortunately cancelled due to COVID-19. ​ ​ Credits include: Max, Recovery Town (Dir. Elle Dillon-Reams); Red Palace (Dir. Celine Lowenthal); Circus of Oz (Dir. Jessica Hall); The Wonderwoods (Dir.
